Pokemon's 20th Anniversary Pt. 1

My boyfriend decided to get me a 2DS in order to celebrate Pokemon's 20th anniversary. I was extremely happy that I got a brand new handheld game (especially since the only one I own is a Gameboy Advance). He also got me along with it, Pokemon Blue. After twenty-one years of not playing Pokemon, I finally got into it.

When Pokemon first came out, an old friend and I tried to get into it. She had made up this rule where if you lose a match, you have to give up all of your cards to the winner. I only had one pack and I lsot to here, therefore she got all of my cards. I swore off Pokemon forever because I thought that was an incredibly stupid rule, which years later, I found out was made up. So basically she got my cards because she was selfish.

Anyways, I got my hands on Pokemon Blue and I started getting into it. Where I'm at in the game as I write this blog is that I just got an old rod to start fishing and managed to get me a Magickarp. My boyfriend also wanted me to blog my experience so I wanted to blog as much as I went through for the first few days.

1.) I hate that you can't take Pokemon from trainers. There were some awesome Pokemon that I encountered that I really wanted but because they're in trainers' possession, I couldn't take it. Rude. I always get what I want... unfortunately not in here >:-(

2.) I really enjoy that I can instantly heal all of my Pokemon on me for free.

3.) Talking to people or accepting/declining offers is very sensitive. Sometimes I don't realize that the dialog has ended and I immediately go back into the same dialog I just read.

4.) I don't like the constant encounters. I know that I can easily buy "Repel" which makes sure that getting random encounters occur less, still, I have to spend money on something dumb.

5.) When being challenged by some random person that I bump into, they say some really funny stuff and some really weird stuff.

6.) I like my rival's nickname I gave him. I named him Bewb.

7.) I like giving my Pokemon nicknames too!

8.) Cannot wait to get my Cubone and Meowth, but I really don't want to evolve them.

9.) I don't like that I cannot get a Charmander or an Ivysaur because I want them.

10.) $1,000,000 for a bike? Get out of here. Thankfully I got a bike voucher!

11.) I really wanted to see how far I could get through the game with just one Pokemon. I realized that I cannot be THAT trainer. :-/

12.) After I win a match, there's a little tune that plays that I enjoy singing out aloud.

13.) Magickarp... I want to evolve him, but I don't want to.

14.) The moment when you're told that Misty could give you the CUT ability, but then was lied to and found out that she doesn't give you it. Because I can't ask one kid to move out of the way for me to grab an item that I can't get to... Really? You couldn't move for me kid? I beat you in a Pokemon match, I think you should be able to move for me. But you're not because you're going to be THAT person and let me do more work to get to an item, which is most likely going to be useless to me, that I want to get really badly.

15.) My Spearow is named Jakspearow and I cannot stop laughing at it because it fits.

That's my take of Pokemon Blue so far! Be on the look out for an update!

Updating More

I know that I was slacking a bit with the updates, I really wasn't playing too much except for World of Warcraft and that's about it. Trying to get Twitch to stream my Warcraft and Heroes of the Storm but because I play on a Mac and I can't find helpful links to set up OBS, I'm kinda in a rut.

Expect Farcry Primal stuff in about a week or so.

Cheers love!
