Dear Anita Sarkeesian

Please stop trying to make videos games seem like an evil hobby to enjoy.

Please stop acting like you know everything when it comes to video games... because you don't.

You sit here and claim that you have the "facts", but you really don't.

Double and triple checking your work seems cute, but unfortunately it doesn't help when you're still wrong.

Once again, you're targeting a game you have either not played, or have yet to get around to finish. Had you played Breath of the Wild, you would have realized that Zelda is not a damsel in the game.

How many times do people have to point out your stupidity? Are you just doing this on purpose just to gain something from it?

Whatever it is, it's ridiculous and it's getting tiresome.

You are NOT a gamer. So stop acting like you are one, because you're not.

There is no sexism in these video games. All the kinds you're pointing out has been proven wrong.

Please go back staring at virtual Batman's ass while we actual gamers enjoy doing what we love best.

Playing and knowing video games.

Yours truly, an actual gamer.

The Croft's Butler

I know that literally every single person who has played the original Tomb Raider series knows who this man is.

I know that literally every single person who has played the original Tomb Raider series has always considered him "annoying".

I know that literally every single person who has played the original Tomb Raider series has always locked him in the fridge.

For the longest time, before I stumbled across game forums and such on the internet, I thought I was the only one who knew to do this when the butler just started to get on my nerves. Seriously, this guy just walks around, following you wherever you go. Sure you out run him greatly, sure he doesn't follow you when you start climbing up random places and such... But he just follows you, and makes unsettling sounds as if he's about to take his last breath.

You don't interact with him. You can walk up to him, but he does absolutely nothing. It isn't until the third game where he becomes an actual target in the obstacle course. I'm assuming Edios realized how much we fans just couldn't stop putting him in the fridge after years of annoying us with the constant following. They decided to let us barrage him with bullets.

But of course, this was during the FUN years of Tomb Raider. Now we're just... discovering HOW we became the Lara Croft we know. Well... I wouldn't really say that she's turning into the Lara Croft we knew back in the 90s because this is a totally different Lara Croft.

You get the picture.

Discipline Priest Rules

Nuff said. I love this class, I wish the rest of the Warcraft community did though. Tired of not being able to play as it during heroic runs and such.

Listen, I fight with you while healing you at the same time. It's freaking cool. Appreciate it.

That is all.

Pokemon Go

I should have shared this story back in July, but I felt that Overwatch was more important at the time. Haha.

Well, as you can see, this is clearly a picture taken in a hospital bed. I suffer from a neurological disorder called Vasovagal Syncope. It's a very frustrating condition that causes me to pass out/ faint / collapse due to multiple triggers. Some of these triggers are dehydration, prolong standing, blood pressure dropping, claustrophobic environment. I've been fighting this misdiagnosed condition for almost ten years now and I've been doing my best to keep it under control. When this first started, I was having episodes at least twice a day. Now I managed to have it under control where it happens like every six months or so. But this one time... It was a little different.

So back in July, my cousin was having a graduation party on a mildly Summer day. I was under a tent the entire time, keeping myself hydrated and was thinking about hopping into the pool soon. I also had like a full meal for dinner since they had a taco bar. But out of nowhere, as I stood up, I just collapsed to the ground.
Now, sometimes when I have these episodes, my body shakes. Some might think that I suffer from Epilepsy, but I can assure you, I don't. When my body shakes, it's got something to do with my blood pressure. But this time, my entire body was shaking so rapidly, my eyes were fixed on something, I was not talking, and this lasted for a good two minutes.
My two cousins, who are nurses, truly believed I was suffering from a seizure that one of them was about to perform CPR on me because I was not waking up from it. I don't even recall the entire scene, all I can remember is my boyfriend holding me, my mother's hand by my head, and my uncle asking me if I wanted a straw in my water bottle.

Then off to the hospital I went.

This game... kept me from going insane. When I have to go to the hospital after these episodes, I cannot tell you how long it takes to get blood results or any results from whatever they wanted to check on me. Usually I don't have my phone all the time when I do go to the hospital. But this game just kept me from losing my shit.

I'm okay now, just extremely frustrated because that syncopal episode was the first one for this year, and the first in the last nine months of being Syncope free. I have yet to last a year without having an episode.

I'm going to defend people playing this game because I don't think they understand that it definitely can change people's lives. I also have some nasty anxiety to fight, ever since I had a disastrous relationship with a guy who will always be known as a dickface. It's kind of hard to talk to new people, be in a crowd of people, and just be myself without having to think, "Okay, is this person going to judge me harshly on my first word to them?" This game makes me completely forget that I'm shy towards new people, and just go out there and have fun. There have been countless of stories that talks about how this game has changed someone's life and such. Whenever I see someone just bash the crap out of this game, it makes me wonder if this person is happy behind their computers. Is their life really enjoyable or are they just miserable and can't stand to see people enjoying something?

Seriously, this game is fun. This game helps bring people out of their shells. It has done for me, it has also kept my sanity from going insane at a hospital. If you truly hate this game, no one wants to hear your opinions. The good always topples those who are unhappy in life. So enjoy your life, and throw some Pokeballs every once and a while.

I will fulfill my destiny in owning a gym with a strong ass Marowak or Persian! One day!

Overbanned!

So Blizzard has gone through Overwatch's players not too long ago and decided to do a huge banhammer on everyone that has gotten caught cheating. The responses to this action is really freaking hysterical. Let's go through some of the ones I found to be funny and sad at the same time.

The original site where all the complaints that I found to be extremely funny/sad/pathetic/etc. can be found.

Overwatch forum that clearly states that anyone caught cheating will be gone instantly.

Let's enjoy some of the funny ones:

1.) Two Comments In One

"Sigh another banwave within 24 hours. I suppoed it wouldn't hurt to form a union against Blizzard and sue them somehow? How can they detect these cheats unless they are using some trojan which is legal?"

"It's simple, we can dm Anonymous on Twitter and ask them to hack Blizzard serves and see how they are spying on us what Blizzard is doing is illegal how do they even known we are using triggerbot which isn't even a hack?"

- Response to the first comment -

Blizzard is not the first gaming company and it is certainly not the last gaming company to do something about cheaters. And you can't sue the company when they have made it quite clear before the game even came out that cheaters who are caught will be banned permanently.

- Response to the second comment -

You really think that group is going to help a bunch of cheating Overwatch players? What Blizzard is doing to you cheaters is LEGAL, as they have every right to ban anyone who is playing unfairly and are using third-party programs to help out. Triggerbot IS cheating, kay? Just because it might not be a "hack" towards you, it's still a program that is used to cheat, which you have just admitted to using so...

2.) Why Now?

"I'm actually so pissed right now. Why did they decided to start banning now?"

-Response-

Um, this actually isn't the first time they've done a ban wave. And why now? Maybe because there's been a lot of people reporting hacks and cheaters and Blizzard decided that now is a good time to put an end to it.

3.) War!

"We are at war... War with Blizzard. Ever day they persecute us for our beliefs. We have done nothing wrong, we are merely using our code to make certain colors on the screen get altered. There's no harm in that. What's important is the banned users are ot victims but (blanked out) is. If you want to SUPPORT our cause, you have to buy some CoreCoins. If we get enough users buying CoreCoins, this site with grow and we will be able to hire agents with this that can help us protect us. Maybe is a court battle eventually. My people don't have to take any persecution any longer, we must stop this great evil called Blizzard. For a better future! Invest in CoreCoins!"

- Response -

I don't even know what to really say to this.

4. ) I Deserve A Second Chance

"Can we make a petition or something? I deserve another chance if I spent extra to buy the pre-order edition. This is unacceptable. It's 2016 Blizzard, cheating happens. A slap on the wrist is always better than lynching the person."

-Response-

This comment actually got me a bit agitated for multiple reasons.

A.) Petitions do jack shit now and days when it comes to video games.

B.) You don't deserve a second chance just because you paid a bit extra for a game. You got caught cheating, so why should you be allowed to slip through the cracks all because you spent more?

C.) Yes, cheating happens in video games, but Blizzard isn't the first gaming company to do something about it, nor are they the last either. You deserve to be lynched because you made the game quite unfair for other players who are playing fairly. Cheating ruins the game, 'nuff said.

I think it's insulting to read that you think you should get a "slap on the wrist" instead of being lynched because you decided to play Overwatch unfairly. The Olympics don't slap cheating participants on the wrist, they blatantly ban them from the entire competition. Just because you spent a little bit more money than other people have doesn't give you special "get out of being banned" cards. You're treated as how any other cheater gets treated.

5.) My Brother Is Going To Kill Me

"Wow, wow, WOW BLIZZARD REALLY AGAIN BANWAVE WTF IS UR PROBLEM BLIZZARD JUST LEAVE US ALONE WE ARENT EVEN DESTROYING THE SEERVER ***** NOW MY BROTHER IS GONNAKILL ME"

-Response-

Their problem is that Blizzard has specifically stated that they are not going to tolerate any kind of cheating and if you get caught, you're done. I'm sure you were using your brother's account, and even though I feel sorry that your brother no longer can play this game anymore, maybe he should kick your ass for deliberately losing the ability to play Overwatch.

6.) I Paid Money!

"I just got banned too, wtf Blizzard you're really gonna punish people who paid you MONEY for this game???"

-Response -

Just because you gave them money doesn't mean they can not ban your account if you're caught cheating. It doesn't work like that, kid.

7.) I Only Used It Twice!

"</3 Blizzard Why you you let me cheat in piece I only tried the triggerbot in 2 games I don't deserve ban for that. The ahk aimbot is still working and superior but sad that I can't use it anymore :-("

-Response-

*Peace

And no, they most certainly will not allow to to cheat in "piece".

8.) It Was Just A Bot

"what is blizzards ****ing problem?? it must be ilegal to do something like this just banning us for urnning an external program that doesn't even hack the game. it was just a mouse bot zzzzzzzzzz ARE THEY GONNA BAN ME FOR USING PAINT NOW TOO"

-Response-

"IF A PLAYER IS FOUND TO BE CHEATING - OR USING HACKS, BOTS, OR THIRD-PARTY SOFTWARE THAT PROVIDES ANY SORT OF UNFAIR ADVANTAGE - THAT PLAYER WILL BE PERMANENTLY BANNED FROM THE GAME. FULL STOP." - Lylirra, community manager

9.) Can I Sue?

"Can I sue Blizzard for this unfair ban?"

-Response -

Except it's not unfair.

10.) My Skype Group Is Banned

"Everyone in my triggerbot coding skype group is banned. What the **** Blizzard."

- Response -

Oooh...

Final Thoughts:

Cheaters look, it said specifically long before Overwatch came out that if anyone is caught cheating will be gone for good. Even if you buy a brand new Overwatch game, they still can find you and ban you again. Some of the comments had people saying that they're hacking still and have yet to get caught, give it time. You will be once they find you. I think it's hilarious to see reactions like this mainly because you have a bunch of sites that were psyched to see Blizzard going to do something about cheating, if you didn't see this well that's your own fault.

Plus, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize that cheating in online video games is bad. People get very angry about playing with people who cheat. I play with a friend who looks for these kinds of things and instantly report them if they find something incredibly odd about a death or an ability or whatever. Sure the guy sometimes overreacts a bit to these things, but this is what cheaters basically do to those who want to play the game fairly. Any kind of player who seems like they're extremely freaking good, are looked at as those who are cheating. Hell, I've gotten people claiming that I'm hacking when I'm Widowmaker. This sucks that cheaters make this game sometimes unbearable to tolerate at times.

Maybe you should stop, and just get good?

Sonic Mania - Sega's Last Chance

This is Sonic Mania, Sega's 25th Anniversary game for Sonic. Honestly, this trailer makes this game look wonderful. I cannot wait to see more! However... yes, however... This is Sega's last chance to win me over with this series.

I was born in the year 1990, so I grew up with this series. I watched my brother play it, I started playing it, my daddy and I started going back and forth to see who can get the most points in Sonic Spinball. I freaking loved Sonic back during the 90s.

Then once he entered the 3D era, things just started sucking. This series just isn't a 3D platformer, it doesn't work, especially since we're working with a character that moves as fast as light.

Generations kinda made things okay, but it still wasn't Sonic. I don't want to play as two different Sonics where one can do more 3D type stuff versus one who can only stay 2D, that's... That's not Sonic!

This series is definitely 2D only, because there's so much stuff it can do, but Sega fails to do it! Sonic 3 and Knuckles is, in my opinion, the best Sonic game out there. That first boss fight where we're running through a field and a giant ass ship is dropping bombs. Like I honestly have no clue what that thing was, but seriously, this build up to the first boss was... ERMERGHERD!!! Then we're running through the forest where we see RoBUTTnik himself.

There was just so much this game offered to impress, and then what did we get afterwards? Sonic 3D, a really, really horrible game. It's just... I don't even want to explain it. Because this is the game that started to make Sonic go downhill. Game after game, failure after failure, it was depressing to see that my favorite series started to just be one of the most laughable series out there. Nothing, and I mean nothing, could make the series awesome.

But this game... maybe this game can bring back Sonic to the respectable level it once had back in the 90s. There is absolutely nothing wrong in going back to the past, going back to it's old roots. I truly believe this is the way Sonic needs to be. Keep making Sonic games be more like this. I cannot begin to explain how many people are going gaga over this game, even though this is just the first trailer we've seen.

I want to believe... that Sonic can finally be good once again!

Over-Sensitive

Overwatch is once again being targeted by some overly-offended person that demands Blizzard to take stuff out of their game. But it's not Tracer that's being the target this time, no, it's Symmetra, the lovable turret placing, portal making supporter shielder.

A religious statesman and the president of the Universal Society of Hinduism, Rajan Zed, is demanding that Blizzard takes Symmetra's Devi skin out because he believe it's "trivializes" the Hindu goddess.

Zed states that "the player controlled movements of Devi, while in reality the devotes put the destinies of themselves in the hands of their goddesses. Moreover, Devi and its movements depicted in Overwatch did not match with the characterization of the goddesses in the scriptures."

He also sates that, "Blizzard Entertainment needed to follow it's own "core values" which included "lead responsibly", as in this case it was creating confusion in the minds of community about Devi by misrepresentation."

Okay, first off, "Devi", and her re-colored skin "Goddess" are just skins. To show off to the other players, "Hey look what I got!" That's it, that's all that this is for. It's to show off. None of these costumes actually mean anything, they're just for fun. But once again, the oversensitive needs to bark at the artists and demand that they scrap their hard work because they think everyone should be offended by this.

When I play video games, games take over my thoughts. I don't compare what I'm playing to real life things. When I first saw this skin during the first stress test I got in, I thought this was a really cool looking skin since her other two legendaries falls flat. When I look at this skin, does it make me think it trivializes Devi? Of course not.

I don't understand why these things are so much of a bothersome towards people. Nowhere on earth is Blizzard saying that Symmetra's skins are a mockery towards the Hindu religion, nowhere. Players aren't even mocking it either. Heck, Pharah has two legendary skins that are based on Native Indian culture, Raindancer and Thunderbird, and no one has said anything about those skins. What about Reaper's Mariachi skins? Should Mariachi players be offended by those two skins?

It pretty much boils down to where if you don't like something, ignore it. I can never really understand why people are bothered by the contents of video games if they don't even play it themselves. And from what this Rajan guy sounds like, it certainly doesn't sound like he's an avid video gamer. There are things to protest about and then there's this... Something that's really not worth fighting over.

What's even more interesting, is that no one is making a scene about the fact that she is possibly autistic, as shown in the comic that featured her a couple months ago. There's signs that shows her having trouble socializing, she dislikes crowds, has an obession with structured enviornements and has an inability to empathize. Traits that are typically associated with autism.

That and the comic even states where she fits in the specturm.
